Publisher’s Weekly Article & Sat. Re-Cap

Publisher’s Weekly just released an article on the Fantasy Fiction Tour. We’re already seeing the affects of the publicity through heightened sales figures on Amazon.com. Saturday night, June 16th, we had a wonderful night at The Lyric for the nationwide release of The Lion Vrie. The turnout was incredible and I’m extremely appreciative to all those that ventured out. Christian Fahey provided wonderful live music, and Kathy Danielson, owner of The Lyric, had a marvelous selection of finger foods and coffee. I read a sneak-peak of one of the chapters and then signed books. Again, thanks for all the support!

New DIBOR School

As many of you may have gotten wind of, and seen on yesterday’s international TV broadcast, I’m overjoyed to announce our new two-year disciplship training school, aptly named DIBOR. This is a dream come true for all the staff members, and something I never thought would become a reality; just a story in a book.

Live on TCT Thursday / Buffalo Friday / Lion Vrie

For all of you in TV land, I’ll be appearing on TCT Network this Thursday, June 14th, from 3:00-4:00pm (ET) across the US on DirecTV 377 and around the world via satellite (including direct-to-home over China). The program re-airs Thursday night at Midnight across the entire TCT Network. Hosted by Pastor Tommy Reid of The Tab, this broadcast will go out to 170 nations across the globe. I’ll be talking about the new book as well playing a few new songs from the live recording we just did. I really covet your prayers; may many lives be impacted for the King and the Kingdom!

Jennifer and I will also be at The Tab, Buffalo, NY on Friday night 7pm, June 15th, leading worship and promoting the new book as part of a special event for Brad and Robin Ringer (Pure For God Inc.). Would love to see you “locals” there!

Weekend Recording Report

The place was set, the gear was loaded in and set up, the guitars were tuned, and the coffee was brewing. All we needed was the people.

And the audience didn’t disappoint.

Friday and Saturday nights were packed out at The Lyric in Clayton! People came from all over the county, largely because of the amazing front page story the Watertown Daily Times did on the event in Thursday’s paper. And what a crowd! Everyone was so enthusiastic and appreciative. And the feedback from the night was very encouraging.

In response to the Lord’s instruction, I laid down “story/artistic song writing” in 2001 for all-worship oriented music. But three months ago I was released to begin writing in this genre again. It has not only been a joy, personally, to write such works, but to see the response from the audience.

Mr. Paul Rohling really made the two nights special. We’d been practicing everyday of the preceding week. He is a fast student. And a fast player! He was the perfect addition to the pieces, really bringing the work to life. His masterful flourishes and punchy rhythms couldn’t have been more wonderfully executed. I’m extremely grateful for his mark on this record.

My wonderful father, Peter Hopper, was present for recording, marking our 9th full-length CD together. Just the unmixed playback from each evening was remarkable; I think people are going to be very pleased with the result.

Dudley Danielson and John Brennan both showed up to shoot pitures of the evening, and Kathy Danielson’s wonderful staff at The Lyric were outstanding.

The project, tentatively named The Art of Conversation, will be released sometime later this summer. We’ll keep you posted for sure.
